Gambling should always be a form of entertainment — never a financial strategy, never a way to recover losses and never something that takes priority over your wellbeing, family or daily responsibilities. This page exists to give you the tools, knowledge and support to stay in control.
These tools are available to every registered jiwin user. They are free to activate and most take effect immediately.
Set a daily, weekly or monthly cap on how much you can deposit into your account. Once the limit is reached, no further deposits are accepted until the period resets. Decreases take effect immediately; increases require a mandatory cooling-off period.
Cap the maximum amount you are willing to lose in a given period. When the limit is reached, your account will automatically prevent further wagering until the period ends. This tool is especially useful during high-intensity sporting events like PSL T20 finals or ICC knockout matches.
Define how long you can remain active in a single gaming session. When the time limit is reached, you will receive an alert and, if you choose, be automatically logged out. Session reminders are sent at configurable intervals throughout your play time.
Take a short break from gambling without fully self-excluding. Cooling-off periods range from 24 hours to several weeks. During this period, you cannot deposit or place bets. This is a good first step if you feel your play is becoming less enjoyable.
Request a full self-exclusion from jiwin for a defined period — minimum six months, with longer or permanent options available. Once active, you cannot access your account, place bets or receive promotional communications. Requests are processed promptly and cannot be reversed during the exclusion period.
Receive regular on-screen notifications showing how long you have been playing and how much you have spent or won in the current session. Reality check pop-ups help you step back and reassess whether you want to continue, especially during long live-betting or live-casino sessions.
Responsible gambling is the practice of treating wagering as a leisure activity with a fixed, affordable entertainment budget — much like going to a cinema in Karachi or watching a PSL match at a stadium in Lahore. It means knowing before you start exactly how much time and money you are comfortable spending, and sticking to those limits regardless of whether you are winning or losing.
The core principle is straightforward: only gamble what you can genuinely afford to lose. Every wager carries the risk of a total loss. Chasing losses — increasing bets in an attempt to recover money that has already gone — is one of the most common and most dangerous patterns in problem gambling, and it almost always makes the situation worse rather than better.
At jiwin, we emphasise responsible gambling not as a regulatory box-tick but as a genuine priority. We know from well-established research that the majority of people who gamble do so without developing a problem. But we also know that for a minority of users, gambling can escalate into a harmful habit — and that early intervention, honest self-reflection and access to the right tools can make an enormous difference.
The information on this page applies to all types of gambling available on or referenced by jiwin: sports betting on cricket, football, tennis and UFC; live casino games including roulette, baccarat and blackjack; video slots and RNG games; and any other wagering activity. The risks of problem gambling are not specific to one format — they can arise in any context where real money is at stake.
Pakistan legal context: Pakistan's Prevention of Gambling Act, 1977 restricts gambling activities within Pakistan. jiwin does not claim to be licensed, approved or endorsed by the Government of Pakistan, the PTA, the State Bank of Pakistan or any Pakistani authority. Users in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and other Pakistani cities must independently assess the legal status of online gambling in their location. This page does not constitute legal advice.

Problem gambling does not always look the way people expect. It rarely starts dramatically — it usually develops gradually, through small habit shifts that are easy to rationalise. The warning signs below are drawn from established problem-gambling research. Recognising these patterns early is one of the most important steps toward getting help.
Spending more than you originally planned, or using money set aside for bills, rent, food, mobile recharges (JazzCash/Easypaisa top-ups) or family expenses to fund gambling.
Returning to place bigger bets specifically to recover money already lost. This is a strong early indicator of problem gambling — the belief that a win is "due" is a cognitive distortion that drives financial harm.
Lying to family, friends or colleagues about the time you spend gambling, the amounts you wager or whether you gamble at all. Secrecy is a common sign that gambling has moved outside healthy boundaries.
Missing work, studies, prayers, family commitments or social obligations because of gambling — or thinking about gambling when you should be focused on something else.
Using gambling as a way to deal with stress, anxiety, depression, boredom or difficult personal circumstances rather than as straightforward entertainment.
Making genuine attempts to cut back or stop gambling and finding that you cannot maintain those commitments — or feeling restless, irritable or anxious when you try to stop.
Answer honestly. This is not a clinical diagnostic tool — it is a simple reflection exercise to help you notice if your relationship with gambling may need attention.
In the past month, have you bet more than you originally planned to in a single session?
Have you chased losses — bet more to try to win back money you've already lost?
Has gambling ever caused arguments at home or affected your relationships?
Do you feel anxious, irritable or low when you are not able to gamble?
Self-exclusion is a voluntary, binding commitment you make to protect yourself. Here is exactly what happens when you activate it.
Log in to your jiwin account and navigate to Account Settings → Responsible Gambling → Self-Exclusion. Alternatively, contact support via live chat or email at [email protected] and request exclusion with your preferred duration.
Select a self-exclusion period: 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, 5 years or permanent. Shorter cooling-off options (24 hours to 6 weeks) are also available for those who need a brief break rather than a full exclusion.
Your account is restricted immediately. You will not be able to log in, deposit, place bets or access any real-money features. Any pending withdrawals of real-money balances (not bonus funds) will be processed as normal.
All promotional communications — emails, SMS notifications, bonus offers and re-engagement messages — are immediately suppressed. You will not receive gambling-related marketing during your exclusion period.
Opening a new account during an active self-exclusion period is a breach of jiwin's Terms and Conditions. If you are on self-exclusion and feel the urge to create a new account, this is a strong signal to seek further support immediately.
When your exclusion period ends, your account will not be automatically reactivated. You must proactively contact support to request reinstatement. A mandatory review and cooling-off process will apply before reinstatement is confirmed.
If gambling is becoming a problem for you or someone you care about, speaking to a support service is one of the most effective steps you can take. The resources below are mentioned as general reference only.
A mental health support helpline operating in Pakistan. If gambling-related anxiety, stress or depression is affecting your wellbeing, mental health counsellors can provide guidance and signpost further support. Available for general mental health concerns including gambling-related distress.
Gamblers Anonymous (GA) is an internationally recognised peer-support fellowship for people with gambling problems, based on a 12-step programme. GA has an established international presence. Local or online groups may be accessible to users in Pakistan. Text-only mention — no endorsement implied.
jiwin's support team is available 24/7 via live chat to help you activate self-exclusion, set limits or discuss your options. If you contact support and indicate that gambling is causing you distress, our team will treat your request as a priority and process protective measures immediately.
Qualified psychologists and counsellors in Pakistan's major cities — Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad — offer support for compulsive or problem gambling. Speaking to a mental health professional is one of the most evidence-based routes to recovery from gambling disorder.
jiwin has a strict zero-tolerance policy towards underage gambling. The platform is available only to adults aged 18 and above — or such higher minimum age as may be required by the operator or the jurisdiction in which the platform is licensed. Being 18 or over does not, by itself, make online gambling lawful in Pakistan; users must independently assess applicable local law.
If you share devices with younger family members at home — in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad or anywhere in Pakistan — we strongly encourage you to use device-level parental controls to prevent access to gambling websites. Most mobile devices and browsers offer built-in content filtering that can block gambling content. Router-level filtering is available through most home internet providers and can apply restrictions across all devices on a home network.
If you suspect that a minor has accessed or registered on jiwin: contact our support team immediately at [email protected] or via live chat. We will investigate and take immediate action, including account closure and data erasure in compliance with applicable law. Any balance associated with an underage account will be handled in accordance with legal requirements.
Use Screen Time (iOS) or Digital Wellbeing & Parental Controls (Android) to restrict gambling-category websites on shared devices.
Most home internet routers support URL category filtering. Enable "Gambling" category blocks through your router admin panel to protect the whole network.
